Premiere Date, Time

The Matlock reboot was delayed by the Writers Guild of America (WGA) and Screen Actors Guild (SAG) strikes. CBS announced in July 2024 that the show would air as part of its fall schedule. The first episode will premiere on Sunday, September 22, 2024, at 8 p.m. ET. However, the second episode will not air until Thursday, October 17, at 10 p.m. ET. From then on, each episode will follow the same Thursday 10 p.m. time slot.

Where to Watch Matlock Reboot

Matlock will be available on CBS, which is part of many U.S. cable TV packages. For those who do not have cable, there are streaming options. The series will be available through live TV streaming services like YouTube TV, Fubo, Hulu with Live TV, and Paramount+ with Showtime. In Canada, the show will air on Global TV, and in the UK, it will be shown on Sky Witness. Additionally, episodes will be available on Paramount+ the day after airing.

Matlock Reboot Plot

Kathy Bates stars as Madeline Matlock, a skilled attorney who joins a prestigious law firm. At the firm, she teams up with younger associates and faces off with her co-workers, solving cases using her sharp legal mind. Other main characters include Olympia, an attorney driven by justice, Julian, Olympia’s ex-husband and the son of the firm’s head, and Billy and Sarah, two young associates. The show combines legal drama with personal stories, adding intrigue and depth to each case Matlock takes on.
