Plot

Choi Yi-jae, a man facing a string of misfortunes, contemplates ending his life after hitting rock bottom. However, his decision to cheat death earns him a unique punishment. Death, upset by his attempt, forces him to undergo a relentless cycle of deaths – a total of 13 lives. Each time, Yi-jae wakes up as a different person on the brink of demise. Survival grants him the chance to live out the rest of his life in that persona. The K-drama, adapted from a webtoon by Lee Woon-sik and Gul-chan, explores themes of suicide, death, prejudice, and the essence of life.

Star-Studded Cast

Doom at Your Service’s Seo In-guk takes on the lead role of Cho Yi-jae, accompanied by Parasite actor Park So-dam as Death. The extensive cast includes Go Yoon-jung, Kim Ji-hoon, Kim Jae-wook, Lee Do-hyun, Jang Seung-jo, Choi Si-wan, Lee Jae-wook, Sung Hoon, Oh Jung-se, Kim Kang-hoon, and Yoo In-soo in various reincarnations of Choi Yi-jae.

Release Date

Death’s Game Part 1 premiered on Amazon Prime Video on December 15. Originally slated for a November release, it underwent a schedule change to December. Part 2 is scheduled for release on January 5, completing the eight-episode series. Streaming exclusively on Amazon Prime Video, the drama unfolds its gripping narrative in two parts.
