On New Year’s Day, Netflix in the United States is set to welcome the complete collection of ‘The Wonder Years,’ comprising all 32 episodes from the first two seasons of the comedy series.

Recent reports indicated that Disney would transfer 14 shows, including ‘The Wonder Years,’ originally aired on Disney-owned networks, to Netflix. Confusion arose online about which version would be available, the classic original or the reboot. It’s now confirmed that both seasons of the rebooted version will be featured on Netflix.

The reboot, set in 1960s Montgomery, Alabama, portrays a Black middle-class family through the eyes of a 12-year-old boy. Don Cheadle narrates, with Elisha “EJ” Williams, Dulé Hill, Saycon Sengbloh, Laura Kariuki, and Amari O’Neil in the main cast.

Despite the show’s cancellation by ABC in September 2023, fans speculate on a potential revival by Netflix. The streaming giant would need substantial viewership, global rights acquisition, and international appeal to consider producing a third season.
